PURPOSE:To enhance the size detection accuracy of fruit, by operating the size of the fruit from the detection time data of the reference sensor and fruit sensor provided to a transfer process in an operation part when the fruit is transferred in the state placed on each receiver of a conveyor. CONSTITUTION:When a fruit 1 is transferred in the state placed on each receiver 2 of a conveyor 3, a reference sensor 5 detects a known reference dimension part 4 at the arrangement part of the sensors 5, 6 provided to a transfer process and an operation part 7 can know the time data (b) from the beginning of detection to the finish of detection. The fruit sensor 6 detects the fruit 1 moving in the state placed on the receiver and the time data (c) from the start of detection to the finish thereof can be known by the operation part 7. The operation part 7 operates the size of the fruit 1 from the time data (b), (c) and known reference data according to reference dimension X c/b and the size of the fruit 1 can be detected with high accuracy.
