PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for pelletizing for chromium ore and to effectively recover heat energy, by burning char separated from reduced ore after reducing in the fluidized bed by adding coal to preheated ore to preheat raw material ore. CONSTITUTION:In the fluidized bed, the coal is added to the pre-heated chromium ore, etc., to reduce, and after reduction, the reduced ore and the char are separated. This separated char is finely crushed and mixed with the material ore and burnt to preheat the ore. Together with this, further this ore is preheating by reducing exhaust gas generating at the time of reduction in the above fluidized bed. Next, ash in the burnt char is separated.
