The device makes use of the propagation of a gaseous plasma produced by the deflagration of a pyrotechnic material deposited as a layer against the inner face of a supporting conduit. The heat transfer forming an instantaneous heat source from one end to the other of the conduit can be applied to demolition with a function of the cord type. The layer of pyrotechnic material is made up of a fuel, an oxidant and a binder. The deflagration of the pyrotechnic material produces a plasma intended to transfer the heat energy from one end to the other of the conduit, the internal section of which is between 0.19 and 78.50 mm<2>.
