In an open-end spinning machine having a multiplicity of spinning units arranged in a row next to one another on each machine side, provision is made for means for sucking off and picking up impurities inside the open-end spinning machine to be movable between the two rows, and for there to be a servicing appliance movable along the open-end spinning machine on the outside on the tending side, the means for sucking off and picking up the impurities and the servicing appliance being coordinatable in such a way that they can be advanced to the same spinning unit in order to carry out a combined servicing task.
