PURPOSE:To enable inspection of the inner surface of a hydraulic steel pipe by remote control, by supplying power separately to a drive means of a camera base and a lighting device with an engine generator suspended on a truck and a TV camera or the like with a battery. CONSTITUTION:When the inner surface of a hydraulic steel pipe 1 is to be inspected, the operation of an engine generator 6, the manipulation of a TV camera unit 3 and others are performed with a control panel 10 through a signal cable 8 and a control unit 4 hoisting down a truck 2 at a fixed speed with a capstan type winch 9. Then, an image signal is transmitted from the unit 4 to be observed with a CRT provided on the control panel 10. At this point, power is supplied to a drive means of the unit 3, a lighting device and the like by the engine generator 6 and to the TV camera and the unit 4 with a battery 5 separately. Moreover, inspection position is measured with a distance recorder provided on a wheel of the truck 2 while the frequency of weld bead passage time is calculated to calibrate the display of the distance recorder. |
