Test appliance for PCB's has many parallel test pins which form the electrical connection between the contacts on the PCB and springloaded contact elements on a raster plate. An elastic plate, parallel to the mask plate, is made pref. of rigid foam or rubber web so that the test pins are held in it in their positions. specifically the PCB is tested by an appliance with a mask plate, pref. made of PMMA, with through holes, an elastic plate and spacers, between them. A raster grid has sprung contact elements aligned with test pins. The elasticity of the material of the elastic plate ensures that the pins are retained in their position.
