PURPOSE:To obtain a permselective membrane excellent in membrane formation properties, reverse osmosis performance and chlorine resistance by using copolyamide which is obtained by allowing aromatic polycarboxylic acid component to react with mixed diamine components of specified bis(aminophenyl)-base compd. and piperazine-base compd. CONSTITUTION:Aromatic diamine compd. shown by a formula I such as 4,4'- diaminodiphenyl ether is mixed with piperazine at a mixing molar ratio of 95/5-35/65 and this mixture is dissolved in a soln. consisting of both an aprotic solvent such as N-methylpyrolidone and a trapping agent for hydrogen chloride generated at a time of polymerization such as triethylamine. While icing the whole reaction system, aromatic polycarboxylic acid halide such as isophthalic acid dichloride is added to the soln. and subjected to soln. polymerization. After the reaction is finished, obtained copolyamide is refined and dissolved in a suitable organic solvent and coated on a plate and this is immersed in a poor solvent of copolyamide to obtain an asymmetric membrane. |
