<p>PURPOSE:To attain an easy handling and to prevent an error in a measurement from being produced by counting the number of the pulses of pulse signals respectively having frequencies proportional the number of the rotations of reels and generating an output corresponding to the quantity of a tape travel. CONSTITUTION:The tape is previously traveled at a specified constant speed for a constant period, the number of the pulses to be obtained for every travel of the tape to a prescribed distance to detect that the counted value of the pulse signal generated together with the actual rotation of the reel coincides with the number of the calculated pulses and measure the quantity of the tape travel. Thereby, an idler is not required, which is different from the convention, and the constitution can be simplified. It is not required to previously input and set the length of the using tape or a recording and reproducing time or the like to attain the easy handling and measure the correct quantity of the tape travel influenced by no unevenness in the thickness of the tape.</p> |
