PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of a molten steel and to extend the life of bricks by removing >=1 pieces of coil springs disposed in the outside region of a stationary plate brick of a rotary nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A collector nozzle 14 is mounted to a rotor 8 of the rotary nozzle and a stationary frame 6 is fixed by means of bolts, etc., to a base plate 2. The stationary plate brick 3 and sliding plate brick 11 are brought into tight contact with the spring force of the coil springs 16. A suitable number of 1 or more pieces of the plural coil springs 16 disposed on the outside at the end on the opposite side of the two bricks 3, 11 are removed to decrease the force acting in the direction where the sliding faces of the bricks 3, 11 are opened. The force working to open the bricks 3, 11 when nozzle holes 4, 12 are eroded is thereby decreased and the pressing force of the holes 4, 14 is increased. The leakage of the molten steel is, therefore, prevented and the life of the costly bricks is extended. |
