PURPOSE:To obtain a soil conditioner effective in recovering the original fertility to sterile soil, preventing the replant failure and increasing the yield of crops, by adsorbing ethylene gas in porous granules composed mainly of hydrated calcium silicate. CONSTITUTION:The objective soil conditioner capable of slowly releasing ethylene gas over a long period can be produced by adsorbing a large amount of ethylene gas in porous granules composed mainly of a hydrated calcium silicate preferably consisting of tobamolite, xonotlite, CSH gel, faujasite, gyrolite, fillepuranlite or their mixture and containing preferably >=10wt.% granules remaining on a 40 mesh sieve. |
