PURPOSE:To form a compound body of optical elements having characteristics stabilized to environmental temp. change by interposing an intermediate body having a coefft. of thermal expansion close to the thermal expansion of the optical elements between at least one of the optical elements and a substrate, and fixing the intermediate body to each of the optical elements and the substrate. CONSTITUTION:It is preferred that an intermediate body to be interposed between optical elements and a substrate has a coefft. of thermal expansion alpha3 satisfying a relation expressed by ¦alpha1-alpha3¦<¦alpha1-alpha2¦ between the coefft. of thermal expansion alpha1 of the optical elements and that alpha2 of the substrate. For example, a glass plate 11 having 1mm thickness and 130X10<-7>/ deg.C coefft. of thermal expansion is interposed between a single crystal 3 of Bi12SiO20 and a CaTiO3 substrate 10. By this constitution, the output of the compound optical elements is discharged stably without being influenced by the change of environmental temp.
