PURPOSE:To fully display the space heating capacity of the air conditioner even when a heater is turned off and the air conditioner is operated in a space heating mode by varying a overload control level by judging the ON/OFF state of the heater for use in auxiliary heating. CONSTITUTION:When a heater is turned off, a transistor 8 is turned off, a resistor 12 is not short-circuited. The reference voltage of a comparator 7 is given by the voltage dividing ratio of a resistor 10 and the sum of resistors 11 and 12. Accordingly, the reference voltage is set at a value higher by a heater input current from a time where the heater is turned on, and the overload control level is elevated to an input current control value. That is, even when the heater is turned off and the space heating mode operation is carried out, the function of the rotational speed control type air conditioner can be fully displayed.
