PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency in electrostatic classification by supplying powder onto a vibrating plane to form a uniform and thin layer, and then successively supplying the powder onto a rotary drum as the means for classifying the powder by electrostatic force. CONSTITUTION:The powder P is supplied onto the vibrating plane 19, and the supplied powder P is uniformly dispersed over the vibrating plane 19 to form a thin layer. The thin-layered powder is successively supplied to the rotary drum 20 as the means for classifying the powder into conductive powder P2 and nonconducting powder P1. As a result, the powder is continuously and uniformly supplied onto the surface of the rotary drum, electrostatic force is uniformly exerted on the powder, and the efficiency in electrostatic classification is improved.
