PURPOSE:To reduce an unburnt content in ash in combustion and to raise combustion efficiency, by stirring coal-water slurry in such a way that yield value of the slurry becomes a specific range. CONSTITUTION:Coal is crushed in a wet state by a ball mill or ground in a dry state and blended with water to prepare coal-water slurry. Then the slurry is stirred in such a way that yield value of slurry, stress at which the slurry starts to flow, becomes 1-10Pa to raise stability and dispersibility of fine particles in the slurry and to improve combustibility.
