PURPOSE:To enable feeding of specimens with proper interval by collecting the specimens being fed sequentially from a parts feeder with a time delay when insufficient feeding interval is detected. CONSTITUTION:When two or more specimens xo, xd are fed simultaneously from a feeder 1, a simultaneous detection pulse is outputted from first and second output terminals alpha, beta. Upon receipt of that pulse, a controller 20 judges that the specimens are fed improperly then initiates an incorporated timer when the specimen xc passes, and outputs a collection command signal upon elapse of delay time TD. Switching of a changeover valve 15 causes predetermined operation of a collecting device 9 and improper specimens xc, xd being carried through a first conveyor 3 are collected. If the feeding interval T between the specimens xe, xf is shorter than a setting time TS, the specimen xf having shorter interval T than that of an optical specimen xe is judged to be an improper specimen. The controller 20 initiates the timer upon passage of the specimen xf, and outputs a collection signal with a time delay TD.
