PURPOSE:To uniformize the recording temperatures of heating elements to obtain a good-quality recording image without irregularities in density, by a method wherein, the number of the electrically conducted heating elements is integrated, the integrated value is converted to time data, and a conduction time to the heating elements by every recording action is variably controlled by the time data. CONSTITUTION:An integrating means 5 integrates the number of black pixel signals '1' in an image signal (b). A data conversion part 6 converts an integrated value (e) of the integrating means 5 to preset time data (f). In a data table in the data conversion part 6, the time data (f) optimum to obtain a fixed recording temperature is stored for every integrated value (e). According to the time data (f), a conduction time control part 7 variably controls the time for a conduction (i) to heating elements 81 performed by every recording action. The local change in temperature environment caused by the heat from the heating elements 81 is approximately compensated by the variation of the conduction time to the heating elements 81. In this manner, the change in recording temperature during recording is reduced so that a good quality image without irregularities in density can be recorded. |
