PURPOSE:To realize control without secular change by automatizing a method that a gain coefficient is determined by measuring a gain by means of giving a pseudo signal, and comparing the obtained gain with the optimum gain. CONSTITUTION:The error signals FE, TE of a focus and a tracking are digitized and are operation-processed by a digital processing part DSP 48. The DSP 48 is installed inside a servoloop, and constitutes a filter unit, capable of changing optionally a filer gain coefficient. The gain is measured by giving the pseudo signal omegaA to the servoloop, and is compared with the optimum gain, and the gain coefficient is determined so that the gain of the servoloop comes optimum. By performing this optimizing processing automatically by means of a microcomputer 48a and a coeff RAM 48b, the simplification of a gain adjustment at the time of the completion of a product and the optimum control without secular change are made possible.
