PURPOSE:To improve reliability by increasing the strength of parts against shock, vibration or the invasion of moisture or gas, by fixing and holding of a whole circuit substrate in a storage case in a state that it is covered with a resin mold. CONSTITUTION:In a light emitting element and a photodetector wherein a circuit substrate 6 is mounted in a storage case 1 wherein light emitting devices and photo detectors 4 are assembled, the circuit substrate 6 is soldered to plural pillar-shaped ground terminals 5 integrally formed in the storage case 1 and is fixed by sealing with a resin mold 9 filled in the storage case 1. Accordingly, the circuit substrate 6 is soldered to the ground terminals 5 in the storage case 1 and totally fixed and held by filling the resin mold 9. This increases the strength against shock or vibration and parts are held safely without the cracking of the circuit substrate 6 or the separation of a soldered region. |
