PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having remarkably improved stability of the titled compound, by adding 1,4-dioxane, nitromethane, 1,2-butylene oxide, epichlorohydrin, pyrocatechol, etc., to 1,1,1-trichloroethane at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:(A) 1,1,1-Trichloroethane useful as a degreasing agent for various metallic parts, dry cleaning solvent, etc., is added with (B) 1,4-dioxane, (C) nitromethane, (D) 1,2-butylene oxide, (E) epichlorohydrin and (F) pyrocatechol or 2,6-di-t-butyl-p-cresol. The amount of the components B+C is 2-9wt.% of the whole composition, the component C is 1-50wt.% of B+C, D+E is 0.3-1wt.% of the whole composition, E is 10-50wt.% of D+E and F is 0.001-0.1wt.% of the whole composition. The catalytic decomposition of the component A with various metals under severe condition can be suppressed by the synergistic effect of the additives to prevent the corrosion of the object to be cleaned or machines to be degreased. |
