PURPOSE:To efficiently set a call without duplicating an interterminal communication line by placing the highest order to a calling terminal equipment and sending a connection request from each terminal equipment to a terminal equipment with lower priority at the connection request from a terminal equipment having high priority. CONSTITUTION:A calling terminal equipment places the highest priority to its own equipment and gives a priority to plural terminal equipments requesting the connection as a parameter. A connection request is sent to a terminal equipment having a lower priority by one order, and a 2-way channel is set between both terminal equipments by a reply from that terminal equipment. The calling terminal returns a reply to a connection request from all terminal equipments having a low order priority except a terminal equipment having a lower priority by one order. Each terminal equipment sends a connection request to all terminal equipments having a higher priority except a terminal equipment having an upper order priority by one order and a terminal equipment with a lower priority by one order with respect to the connection request and sets a 2-way communication line with all terminal equipments in response to the reply from them. Moreover, a reply is returned to the connection request from all terminal equipments of lower priority except a terminal equipment with lower priority by one order.
