Heading C2C. 1 - [m - Hydroxyphenyl] - 2 - [1 - methyl - 3 - phenylpropyl - (1) - amino]ethanol - (1) p - aminobenzoate is prepared by synthesising the base by standard methods and converting it to the salt; the salt may be reconverted to the base. Fractional crystallization of the salt yields a higher melting and a lower melting form. The base and salt increase the flow rate in the coronary sinus with only a slight increase in the flow rate in the peripheral vascular region; they may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations. |
