PURPOSE:To correct segment misconvergence by connecting horizontal deflection coils, which are divided up and down, in parallel with each other and making circuits, each of which consists of a variable inductor and a switching element, be connected in series with the deflection coils so that configuration of these circuits becomes symmetrical including polarities of the switching elements. CONSTITUTION:Circuits consisting of variable inductors 5a or 5b connected in parallel with diodes 7a or 7b, respectively, are connected in series with saddle- shaped horizontal deflection coils 2a and 2b which are divided up and down. The horizontal deflection coils 2a and 2b are connected in parallel with each other. The variable inductors 5a and 5b are formed as a pair of differential inductors 6. Correlation of magnitude between inductance values of the variable inductors 5a and 5b can be changed by changing the position of a core 9 which is disposed in the middle of the differential inductors. Hence, misconvergence can be corrected.
