1,188,991. Photographic printing apparatus. J. DASSONVILLE. May 4, 1967 [May 4, 1966], No.20815/67. Heading G2A. An original is copied on to a light-sensitive material by immersing both of them into an inert, light-transmissive liquid and transporting them together past a station where the material is exposed through the original, pressure contact being maintained at the exposure area by directing a current of the liquid against one of the films. As shown, the light-sensitive material 1 and the original 2 are fed into a bath of a halogenated hydrocarbon 4 and are pressed into contact at exposure station 8 by a jet of the liquid fed in through pipe 9 and exposed through window 7. The original and material then are pulled over sprocket roller 12 and slipping between the two is prevented by applying gas under pressure via slit 16, from chamber 13. The original and exposed material are then dried by jets 18 which release gas under pressure. |
