PURPOSE:To manufacture a nonmagnetic material having high strength and superior corrosion resistance when a steel having a specified compsn. is hot rolled and subjected to repeated cold rolling and annealing, by carrying out final rolling with a specified depression ratio and providing a specified grain size by final annealing. CONSTITUTION:A steel consisting of, by weight, 0.05-0.8% C, <=1.0% Si, 10-20% Mn, 0.1-3.0% Ni, 12-20% Cr, <=0.005% S, 0.05-0.5% N, <=0.01% O and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is hot rolled and subjected to repeated cold rolling and annealing. At this time, final cold rolling is carried out with 25-60% depression ratio and the grain size is regulated to grain size No. 7.0-10.5 by final annealing. Thus, a nonmagnetic material having high hardness and satisfactory corrosion resistance is obtd. and satisfactory press workability is provided. |
