PURPOSE:To enhance fixation sensitivity and color forming sensitivity and ensure excellent chemical resistance, by providing a combined photosensitive layer and overcoat layer comprising a diazonium salt on a heat-sensitive recording layer comprising a particulate dispersion of a coupler compound, a color forming assistant, a color developer or the like together with a specified pigment or the like, and jointly using a water-soluble high molecular weight compound and a hydrophobic high molecular weight compound as a binder for the overcoat layer. CONSTITUTION:A coupler compound incorporated in a heat-sensitive recording layer is a compound capable of coupling with a diazonium salt, and may be a phenol derivative or the like. Compounds for inhibiting or assisting color formation, such as zinc chloride, sodium citrate, thiourea, guanidine sulfate and calcium gluconate, or sugars such as sorbitol may be used as auxiliary components. As a pigment, an oil-absorptive pigment having an oil absorption of 80-500 ml/100g is desirably used, from the viewpoint of thermal head matching properties such as properties relating to refuse or sticking. A water-soluble high molecular weight compound may be corn starch or the like, and a hydrophobic high molecular weight compound may be an emulsion of a synthetic resin such as an acrylic acid ester, or the like. |
