PURPOSE:To improve the strength and quality of metallic material to fit a gutter by forming the inclined face on one hand at least of the welding faces of a leg part and a placing part to join the welding faces to each other by the butt welding via wedge-shaped cavities. CONSTITUTION:Before joining the leg part 20 to the placing part 30 by the butt welding, a lower end part 22 of the leg part 20 is worked downward in a projecting shape to form the inclined faces 231 of two faces in advance. Next, the welding faces 23 at the leg part side are brought into contact partially with the welding face 33 at the placing part side at a lower edge, namely, the central part of the inclined faces 231 and 231. At this time, the wedge-shaped cavities t1 are formed at both sides of a contact part of the welding faces 23 and 33. Next, when the welding faces 23 and 33 are butt-welded to each other from the contact part, molten metal is flowed in the wedgeshaped cavities t1 at both sides and the welding faces 23 and 33 are welded on the almost entire surface. In this way, the strength and quality of the metallic material to fit the gutter are improved.
