PURPOSE:To correct surely the eccentricity of a built-up sleeved roll without deteriorating its structure, hardness and performance by using a low-frequency induction heating method for correcting the eccentricity generated between the body part and the axial part of the sleeved roll. CONSTITUTION:Because a sleeve 1 itself can be heated by a low-frequency electromagnetic induction coil 7 and its temperature is made maximum at the comparatively deep part of sleeve 1, heat conduction to the arbor body part 2 is extremely restrained to a small quantity. Furthermore, the temperature elevated by heat generation is easily controlled. Thus the correction of the sleeved built- up roll is made possible, and its function as a roll is restored in a comparatively short time, and a large effect is expected in economical efficiency and in maintaining the function and performance of the roll. |
