PURPOSE:To aim at compactification in a device, by installing at least two pieces of a third drum as an intermediate drum, and constituting these drums into each stepped drum having plural diameter parts. CONSTITUTION:Each of intermediate drums 8 and 9 as two third drums to be set up between a small diametral drum 6 as a first drum and a large diametral drum 7 as a second drum is constituted into a stepped drum. And, an elastic body 14 is stretched across so as to be shifted in consecutive order from the small diametral part to the large diametral part, namely, as in 8a 9a 8b 9 b 8c 9c alternately between these stepped drums 8 and 9. Accordingly, even if the number of actual drums is little, such a function as being equal to the case the drums of the same number as the number of each diametral part have been set up there, is securable. Therefore, it has the function of a multistage intermediate drum (the third drum), and whereas it is a highly efficient energy storage device, the number of actual intermediate drums is sharply reduced, thus the device is miniaturized as a whole.
