A process is proposed for determining when the end state of compactness has been reached when working in the ground with a power-driven soil-compacting machine. For this purpose, a machine parameter dependent upon the state of compactness is permanently monitored in a known manner, and the invention consists in the fact that the relative change with time of the degree of compactness is determined, and that, for this purpose, the relative change with time of the delivered motor output or of a motor parameter characteristic of this motor output is measured as the machine parameter. |
