The invention proposes a regulating device which prevents a drop in temperature of the return water flowing into the boiler, which could be a danger to the boiler of a heating installation. This is achieved by a regulating fitting which is arranged in the heating return pipe upstream of the junction of the bypass conduit and actuated by a servomotor and which is controlled as a function of the temperatures measured upstream of the regulating fitting and downstream of the junction of the bypass conduit in the heating return pipe.
