PURPOSE:To reduce a play between a spindle shaft and storage medium by piercing the center hole of a recording medium into which the spindle shaft forming the tip in a tapered shape is inserted in larger diameter than the spindle shaft diameter at its both end opening parts and in the same diameter as the spindle shafts at its center part excepting those and the slope in a lenient shape. CONSTITUTION:The opening parts 8a, 9a of the center holes 8, 9 pierced on absorption plates 6, 7 are formed in a cone-shape and the angle A3 between the surface of the opening parts 8a, 9a and the insertion direction of an optical disk 1 is made smaller than the angle A1 between the tapered face of the tip 3a of a spindle shaft 3 and the insertion direction. The spindle shaft 3 is inserted into the center hole 8 in the state of not colliding with the edge part 8b of the center hole 8 when moving from the opening part 8a to the center hole 8 and the optical disk 1 is placed on a turntable 4. When the spindle shaft 3 is inserted into the center holes 8, 9 of the absorption plates 6, 7, the tip 3a of the spindle shaft 3 is not allowed to collide with the edge parts 8b, 9b of the center hole 8, 9, so the center holes 8, 9 are not reduced. The play between the spindle shaft and storage medium can thus be removed.
