PURPOSE:To detect a color by one color detector even when the detection points of an object to be measured are many, by providing a synthesizing part for synthesizing the lights containing color data from the object to be measured to the intermediate part of the light receiving optical fiber bundle of a light guide. CONSTITUTION:The lights containing color data generated from objects to be measured O1, O2...On by the irradiation of reference light are guided to a synthesizing part 15 as reflected lights by a detection part 17 and the synthesized light is guided to a hue detection element 4. Next, the light is photoelectrically converted by the detection element 4 to output a signal wherein color data are synthesized. The output signal is amplified by an amplifying system 5 and, further, an operation system 6 and a control system 7 discriminate whether the taken in color data coincide with preliminarily stored color data to issue output. Even when the detection points of the object to be measured are many, detection can be performed by one apparatus.
