1291133 Aqueous curable acrylic copolymer compositions JOHNSON & JOHNSON 20 Jan 1970 [15 April 1969] 2725/70 Heading C3P [Also in Divisions D1-D2] An aqueous bath used in treating cellulosic materials (see Divisions D1-D2) comprises a self-cross-linking acrylic resin, ammonium bromide and an aliphatic amino compound that is soluble in water and weakly basic. In examples these are: (I-IV) a copolymer of vinyl acetate, ethyl acrylate and N-methylol-acrylamide, ammonium bromide and urea; (V) the same copolymer, ammonium bromide, urea, titanium dioxide, glycerine and ammonia; (VI and VII) another copolymer of the same monomers, ammonium bromide, urea and glycerine; (VIII) a self-cross-linking form of a copolymer of ethyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate, ammonium bromide, urea and boric acid; (IX-XI) as I, except that the urea is replaced by dicyandiamide, semicarbazide and thiourea respectively; and (XII-XIV) as I, except that the copolymer is replaced by self-cross-linking forms of copolymers of ethyl-hexyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate, of butyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate, and of vinyl acetate and ethylhexyl acrylate respectively.
|
