The Norwegian skate boot is releasably attached to the blade with a connector arrangement. This comprises notched grooves (32,33) with an adjuster or notched clamping pieces gripping a central notched cross shaped piece. This makes the boot height adjustable w.r.t. the blade. The grooves are disposed in a bridge (26) with the adjuster being in the form of a bolt. The blade (1) top is enclosed in an extruded aluminium profile strip held in clamping jaws (13,14). The strip has a kite shaped cross-section with a strengthening cross rib, with a groove for engaging the top of the blade.
