Preventing interface corrosion on metal covered with insulating material Before being covered with foamed or other insulating material, corrosion-prone metal is coated with a preferably organic, corrosion-inhibiting additive containing a composition which simultaneously serves as an adhesive for the insulating material. Specifically air-permeable, compacted material such as fleeces of glass fibre, slag wool or cellulose fibre, felt or cork may be used instead of foamed insulating material.
|
