PURPOSE:To execute backup of or data storing to a mass storage device at high speed and to promote efficiency of a program development and also to effectively utilize a memory space of an arithmetic part by disposing an FDD streamer on the way to a bus coupling the arithmetic part with the mass storage device. CONSTITUTION:The titled controller incorporates the bus 3 between a flexible disk drive (FDD) device, the arithmetic part 1 and mass storage device 2, the other bus 3 for coupling the FDD streamer 4 of the FDD device and a gate 6 provided to each bus 3 to open and close by a control of the FDD device in response to the direction of data transfer. In this way, the data transfer between the mass storage device 2 and a host computer 7 is performed at high speed because of disuse of a serial interface, and on the other hand because of no intervention of the arithmetic part 1 for the transfer, a loader program for the arithmetic part 1 becomes unnecessary so that its memory space can therefore be utilized effectively.
