PURPOSE:To completely match frame synchronizing phases at a ground station, by sending a frame synchronizing signal generated in a satellite to a ground transmission station with a carrier different from that of a television video signal. CONSTITUTION:A reference frame synchronizing signal applies a signal processing such as modulation, frequency conversion, and amplification. etc., on the carrier with a frequency different from that of a TV signal, and sends it from each transmission antenna to ground. The reception part of the ground station demodulates the TV signal and the reference frame synchronizing signal sent via the satellite, and detects the time difference (t) of the frame synchronizing signal, and after supplying a delay time corresponding to the time difference, transmits it from a transmission antenna to the satellite. When the TV signal sent from the ground transmission station is received with the antenna 1i of the satellite. and it arrives at a switch matrix 4, the signal whose phase is matched with that of another TV signal can be obtained, therefore, no step out is generated even when the TV signal between beams is switched.
