PURPOSE:To prevent the unsatisfactory take-up operation of a ribbon, by a method wherein the driving of a motor is controlled in the manner that the travel speed of the ribbon to a heating element and the travel speed of a body to a recording paper are made opposite in the direction and approximately equal in degree to each other. CONSTITUTION:In the driving control of a motor 9 for taking up a ribbon, a roller for running 2 rotates with a body 1 running to drive an encoder.photo- interrupter 10 to generate a pulse. The pulse is counted in a counter 11, and the pulse interval is caught as the running speed signal of the body 1 and transmitted to a microcomputor 12 and arithmetically processed therein. Then, the speed data is transmitted to a next step, i.e. a D/A converter 13, as voltage data. The D/A converter 13 converts the voltage data from a digital signal to an analog signal and transmits it to a motor drive circuit 14, which drives the motor 9 while controlling the drive voltage of the motor 9. The ribbon take-up is carried out by this motor. |
