PURPOSE:To simply shorten a washing process without providing the marked alteration of planning, by washing the inner and outer surfaces of a specimen distribution nozzle without stopping the nozzle in a horizontal direction during a time when the nozzle moves from a specimen distribution nozzle to a specimen sampling position. CONSTITUTION:A specimen is sucked in a specimen distribution nozzle 1 from a specimen container 12 at a specimen sampling position 8 and, subsequently, the nozzle 1 is transferred to a specimen distribution position 11 to discharge the specimen sampled in the nozzle 1 into a reaction container 2 and transferred to a nozzle washing position 9 to be washed with the washing solution from a washing solution pump and subsequently transferred to the specimen sampling position 8 to perform the continuous distribution of the specimen. At the nozzle washing position 9 during a time when the nozzle 1 moves from the specimen distribution position 11 to the specimen sampling position 8, the nozzle 1 is moved in a diagonally downward direction along the advance direction without stopping the advance of the nozzle 1 and at least the leading end of the nozzle 1 is immersed in the nozzle immersing and washing part 17 within a washing solution container 15 to wash the outer surface of the nozzle 1 with the washing solution. Further, the nozzle 1 is moved in a diagonally upward direction and continuously sent to a washing solution discharging position 10 to wash the inner surface of the nozzle 1. |
