PURPOSE:To attain the centralized control of terminal interface conditions from a man-machine interface by giving a call to a line terminator via a network and allowing each line terminator to revise its own setting content according to the request content. CONSTITUTION:The line terminator TA1 is provided with a terminal interface condition setting function and a nonvolatile read/write enable memory. In setting the I/F condition, it is applied by the input from an MMI III. That is, the procedure of the revision request of the I/F condition in a form of an incoming call to the TAI via a network II is specified between the TAI and the man-machine interface MMI III. In setting the I/F condition of the TAI from the MMI III, an attribute change request 20 is sent to the said line exchange control section BX of the network 11 and the BX of the network II receiving the request applies incoming request 21 to the TAI. When the network II receives an incoming reception 22 from the TAI, an attribute revision request 23 is sent to the TAI.
