摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a lightweight high stiffness Al alloy plate for a magnetic disk having high packing density by dispersing a specific ratio of ceramics particles into an Al alloy matrix. CONSTITUTION:One or two of 5-50%, by vol.% ceramics particle and ceramics fiber is dispersed into the Al alloy matrix. An Al-Si alloy, Al-Si-Cu alloy, Al-Cu-Mn alloy, etc., are used for the Al alloy to be the matrix. SiC, Al2O3, Si3N4, C and ZrO2 are furthermore used for the ceramics fiber and particles. The diameter thereof is preferably regulated to about <=2 times the surface roughness Rmax.
