<p>A deep fryer incorporates a container with a side wall and a bottom wall, the latter having a recess of limited area with a flat bottom which is horizontal when the fryer is in normal use. This allows any oil film inside the container to run down and collect in the recess as a pool, thus avoiding overheating to the point of ignition when the fryer is accidentally plugged in or switched on without a full charge of oil.</p> |
