PURPOSE:To reduce the using capacity of storing device for messages, etc., and to improve the using efficiency of the storing device, by turning the character string data emerging repetitively in the messages, etc., into a pattern for sharing. CONSTITUTION:An internal character string data storing circuit 5 reads out the character string data FILE corresponding to a compression code I3 and sends it to a message storing circuit 6. A code converting circuit 10 reads the character string data 'JINJI' corresponding to a compression code E1 out of an external character string data storing circuit and sends it to the circuit 6. The circuit 10 reads the character string data 'IS NOT FOUND' corresponding to a compression code I4 and sends it to the circuit 6. Then a message end code TM of a frame pattern F5 is sent to a judging circuit to finish the read-out job of the compression data out of a frame pattern storing circuit 2. In this case, the circuit 6 stores 'FILE (JINJI) IS NOT FOUND' corresponding to an indicated message number.
