The voter identity is established partly from an identity card readable automatically using optical, mechanical or electro-magnetic means, and partly from a personal code series with numbers and/or letters which the voter feeds via a keyboard to the vote or opinion recording appts. After this authentification of identity, the voter can feed in his or her vote or responses to given questions. Before the vote or responses are recorded, the voter identity is compared with the electoral roll. Then, automatically, the voter identity is removed from the electoral rall, to prevent anyone voting twice. (Provisional Basic advised week 85/06) |
