PURPOSE:To enhance printing power efficiency, by curving the surface of a thermal head substrate on the side of a heat generating resistor forming part. CONSTITUTION:The surface shape of the heat radiation plate 17 to mount a thermal head substrate 11 is curved on the side of the platen which is to be brought into contact with a heat generating resistor 15 under pressure. Therefore, when the alumina substrate 11 is strongly brought into contact with the heat radiation plate 17 under pressure or strongly bond to said plate 17 under pressure, the alumina substrate 11 having flexibility is curved according to the surface shape of the heat radiation plate 17. Therefore, the contact time of the printing recording paper inserted between the heat generating resistor and the platen with the platen becomes long. As a result, the propagation quantity of the heat generated by the heat generation of the heat generating resistor to the printing recording paper becomes much and the printing power efficiency of a thermal head is enhanced. |
