<p>Mortars and concrete are improved by adding to the base constituents (a) 1 to 20% K carbonate or bicarbonate, and (b) 0.1 to 1% of a wetting agent of the lignosulphonate type. An air-entrainment additive of the "Vinsol" resin type can also be added. Concreting and masonry work are readily carried out at low temps. using the products of this invention. The concretes do not solidify rapidly due to water crystallisation, and have long working times.</p> |
