PURPOSE:To equalize images of a component to be inspected and a reference component in picture quality such as color tone by displaying the images of the reference electronic component and component to be inspected at the same time through the same images processing. CONSTITUTION:Images of plural electronic components 2 on a substrate 1 are inputted by a TV camera 3 successively and their analog image data are digitized by a controller 11 and inputted to a storage device 10. Then the image data on the electronic components to be inspected are transferred to an image memory 12. Then the image data on the reference electronic component is stored in the storage device 10 through exactly the same processing. Then image data on the reference electronic component of the same kind with the electronic components to be stored which are stored in the storage device 10 and image data stored in the image memory 12 and put together by a composing device 13 through a controller 11, so that the images of the components to be inspected and the reference electronic component are displayed on a display 5 at the same time.
