PURPOSE:To contrive to improve surface processing properties such as plating, coating, etc., by blending polyacetal resin with specific metallic oxide fine powder in a specific ratio to give a polyacetal resin composition and etching an molded article of the polyacetal resin composition with an acidic solution containing a specific inorganic acid. CONSTITUTION:A molded article of a polyacetal resin composition obtained by blending 99.5-80pts.wt., preferably 99-90pts.wt. polyacetal reason is blended with 0.5-20pts.wt., preferably 1-10pts.wt. metallic oxide fine powder (preferably oxide of a metal of group II of the periodic table) having 0.1-20mu, preferably 0.5-5mu average particle diameter is etched with an acidic solution containing one or more of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid (preferably solution consisting of 96wt.% sulfuric acid/36wt.% hydrochloric acid/water = 20-60wt.%/5-30wt.%/the rest or solution consisting of 96wt.% sulfuric acid/85wt.% phosphoric acid/water = 20-60wt.%/20-60wt.%/the rest).
