PURPOSE:To control a dimmer by a dimmer signal with a maximum level by providing a transmission output controlling circuit controlling an output of a transmission line of a digital dimmer signal to a dimmer operation console to select a maximum level signal by a prescribed operation. CONSTITUTION:Transmission data is sent sequentially from the most significant bit to the least significant bit in this order by transmission output controlling circuits B1, B2...Bn, the bits are compared sequentially from the high-order bit at the time of transmission and when a bit is at a high level, the bit is sent to a transmission line l1 and when the bit is at low level, the output is inhibited and when the bit is at the low level and the data sent from other dimmer operation consoles A1, A2...An are at the high level, the output of the succeeding data is inhibited, and the transmission line signal is brought into a low level when all the dimmer operation consoles A1, A2...An are in the output inhibiting state. Thus, the signal with a maximum level is selected and sent at a high speed and with simple constitution.
