PURPOSE:To simultaneously display images of different input sources as several divided image planes by providing a video signal processing means consisting of plural video signal processing circuits, plural control means, and a driving means consisting of plural column-directional driver arrays and row-directional driver arrays. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal display body 31 having NXM picture elements is divided into four with a switch corresponding to a group of four X and Y drivers (X driver 23 and Y driver 27, and X driver 24 and Y driver 29). At this time, if four different video signals are inputted from four input terminals 11, 14, 17 and 20, the respective video signals are processed by four video chroma synchronous processing circuits 12, 15, 18 and 21 and driver control circuits 13, 16, 19 and 22 and sent to the group of the respective X and Y drivers. When the screen is divided into four, the timing of the X and Y drivers 23 and 27 is set to simultaneous parallel operation and when a display is made with one input source, the colomn-directional driver array and row- directional driver array are operated in order.
